Can you tell us one interesting fact about you?
One interesting thing about me is that I've just learned to swim in the past year. A little bit out of necessity, because my other half signed us up for half Ironman in a year's time. It's one of the hardest things I've ever done.
How many years have you been a physiotherapist?
I've been physio for five years, the last of which I spent being a physio in New Zealand.
Physiotherapy was actually my plan B. My plan A was I was to be a famous soccer player but didn't really work out. But I'm really glad that I choose physio because it's a perfect blend of the science of healing and the art of caring. There's a lot of job satisfaction that comes along with seeing people reach their goals.
What’s one piece of advice you’d give to a new patient?
Stay active and stay positive, and don't worry because our bodies have amazing capacity to heal and to change.
